I realized that there is so much drama in this story. The great thing about that though is that it really keeps me wanting to read and luers me in. Anabelle Green is a teenage girl who has two sisters and grows up being a very pretty young girl and model. She is a cheerleader, popular (well used to be) and her sister, Whitney, is very outspoken and comes off to be a brat. Last summer, apparently Anabelle and one of her best friends got in a huge fight. Ending their relationship, Anabelle's friend, Sophie, spread non-stop rumors and talked so much crap behind her back. One day when anabelle was at the pool with her friend Clark, who she had been friends with since they were tiny children, saw a younger girl wearing a skimpy bikini and lying in a lawn chair where the "cool" kids would usually sit. She seemed to look about their age, and Annabel seemed much more interested in her than Clarke. The reasoning behind this was because normally the town that they lived in everyone knew everybody just because it was so small. When Annabel had gotten up to get a coke at the pool side tiki hut, she noticed the unfamiliar girl waiting in line as well. She caught herself staring at her because, the teenager made the famous rude comment of, "what are you looking at?" Annabel didn't say anything back but a "nothing" because i think she may have been a little embarresed.
Whitney was a brat. After she was done tanning and reading her magazine at the pool, she left Annabel to walk home. While at dinner that night, Whitney complained about the girl following her and her friends EVERYWHERE they went. Even though the strange teenager didn't say a peep, she just stood there listening to their conversations. Whitney tried to tell her to leave them alone and "bug off" but nothing seemed to make her flee. Then their mom had brought up something about a new family that had just moved in. They made the connection of the new family and then girl being one of people that must have moved in. Annabel's mom was very polite and expected her kids to be very proper and polite as well so she made/suggested Annabel to introduce herself and take time to meet her.
