So i was completely wrong. haha! it wasn't whitney that sarah dessen had quite introduced yet, it was kirsten. Kirsten was the braty sister of Annabel and i also realized that it was really just a flashback on Annabel and Sophie. At first it was very confusing and that's probably why i messed a few things up. 

Anyways.... as i kept reading it was much more clear and i found it better because it was now modern day as they were teenagers, when  i was reading before and confused, they just in middle school.  Now a days, Annabel really doesn't have any friends and several of people that used to be her friend now aren't because of Sophie. When Annabel and Sophie got in their fight over the summer, she had turned everyone against Annabel. How mean is that... it's one thing to be in a fight with a girlfriend and then make-up afterwards, but it's another thing when the girl is a b**** and makes everyone as well as her hate you. I feel really bad for Annabel in this situation for not only one reason. Since she already has a hard time at home, and i am gradually being introduced to her older sister, Whitney, it puts much more stress and pressure when she doesn't have friends. Whitney is a very quite girl. Kirsten is a very obnoxious, loud, bratty girl. Annabel falls right in the middle between the two sisters.
